Adult Family Home

My wife and I are exploring the idea of opening an adult family home specializing in elderly care. She is a nurse with a strong passion for working with seniors, and I bring an interest in the investment and business management side. Currently, we own two properties (a house with an attached ADU and a duplex). I know several people who are already operating adult family homes successfully, and they are doing quite well financially. Our plan is to purchase a suitable property and ensure it meets all required codes and licensing standards. I would greatly appreciate any advice, insights, or best practices from those who have experience in this field.
