I have a two story building with part over a garage in Oakland.   I've been slowly retro-fitting it.  (putting in shear wall).  Every time we get a little quake or I watch a show like "Superquake" on the Discovery channel I'm motivated to do some more work on it.  

Worked on it all this week.
