Auto Workers Still Get Paid

What’s wrong with this picture?

Chrysler shuts down for a month but workers still draw full pay and benefits. The UAW contracts call for workers to get paid whether they work or not. Is it any wonder that US automakers aren’t able to compete with foreign makes?
