Should I drop my car note?

Hello BP Family,

I hope all is well. I know you all are extremely busy. My question is about my car note. Our car note($470 for one car note the other is owned out right) plus car insurance(for two cars) is roughly $950 and $18k owed on the car. I have seriously been considering calling the auto loan company to return it. I know this will hurt our credit score which affects my wife and I moving forward with investing in Real Estate. We've turned our first home into a rental and would like to move on another in 2019. At the same time this will free up money for saving toward REI. Any suggestions on dealing with this situation? Thank you all in advance for your time.
