Furnace repair in Baltimore

Any fellow landlords have a good furnace repair guy they can recommend?

The furnace on one of my rental units is not blowing the hot air up to the apartment. I've had one estimate so far and the guy said that he "exhaust motor" needs to be replaced. He also said he'd replace the pressure switch and limit switch which work with the exhaust motor. I've never heard of these parts before...pressure switch?...reminds me of an IED. Limit switch? I have no idea.

He also wanted to throw in a new thermostat "at cost and no labor" for $40. I asked what's wrong with my digital Home Depot one and he ambiguously explained that the screen is hard to read. I'd rather just get an old-school thermostat to replace it for much less than $40. Seems these digital ones aren't doing so well in my rentals.

Grand total of $907. That seems steep. Seems like I'm practically half-way to a whole new furnace at that cost. Thanks for any tips.

    Hi @Nicole A. I'd give these guys a call! http://www.handymanmatters.com/columbia/

Unfortunately they are not in my market but I've heard great things about them from other investors.  If they are in your market I'd suggest giving them a buzz Good Luck!
