Randallstown, MD Investing?

Good morning BP! I'm new to real estate investing and I'm currently trying to narrow down my search to neighborhoods where I'm likely to find cash flowing deals while avoiding high risk - very low income neighborhoods. To that end I was curious whether any one here has experience in Randallstown, MD and what your thoughts are on investing in that area. Pros/Cons? Sections to avoid or sections to consider? Any other areas I should consider? I'm hoping to focus on Baltimore County and/or Anne Arundel County.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone!  I agree Paige that Randallstown is not a very low income community - that is why I was considering that area for investment.  Good to know that competition there may be tough.  I will continue my search and consider the other areas mentioned here.

Randallstown is not a very low income community.  If you can find good deals, great, but expect competition.  You are better served looking into areas suggested:  Dundalk, Brooklyn Park, and some areas in Baltimore City.

I agree @Joe Norman that Dundalk could be a good one, it seems like many investors like severna park. I worked at Arnold for 5 years, so like Severna Park as well, house prices are more than Dundalk for sure.

You'll find some opportunity in Randallstown, but also competition from owner occupants for the good deals.  I also suggest checking out Pasadena/Glen Burnie and Brooklyn Park in AA, or Dundalk in Baltimore County.
