ADUs in Anne Arundel County

Hello Maryland BP community!

I am looking at a duplex in Anne Arundel County that has an unused garage on the lot. I would like to convert the garage to an ADU. However, looking at the zoning ordinances in AA, it states that the lot must be at least 14000 sqft. The current lot is only 7500.

Is it still possible to create this ADU or is it not worth the effort to grab the permits? If it is possible, what is the process to do so?
