Client complains of HVAC allergies

Our tenant of 2 months is complaining about allergies that he says seem to be triggered by having the HVAC on. He mentioned thoughts of dust or mold being the issue. When we turned the place around, we didn't notice any issues, and this is the first we've ever had a complaint.

I searched the forums and did find someone in a similar situation that basically said "tell them they can have a pro clean it themselves, or offer to terminate the lease"

This feels a little aggressive to me.. Am I being a pushover though? Would love to hear how any other property managers deal with this complaint
