Question on pricing a rental - Hanover, MD

Hello Everyone,

I've been renting a townhome to a couple of people I know room by room, but am now looking to rent out the whole home and transfer gas and electric to the tenents. The townhome is a brand new build, 3 bed 3 1/2 bath, 1600 sqft, with a one-car garage just outside Ft. Meade in Hanover, Maryland. I've been looking at similar properties in the area but am not exactly sure what would be a good price with the house being a new build and all new appliances. I'm thinking around 2500 but am hoping some local landlords, managers, or agents might have a better idea!

Hi, I looked it up. The larger units with 2-car garage are renting for anywhere from $2750-$2950, so the rent you mentioned is reasonable. You may try slightly higher by $150 or so and see if the market gives it to you. It's all about supply and demand at the time the unit hits the market.
