How many people are still doing Cold Calls??

Question

I have been having an extremely frustrating time with my phone numbers, about 85% of them are disconnected or wrong numbers. This is just killing my workers time and my efficiency. What are the premiere Skip tracing services other than TLO? Which one's should I avoid or are they all going to yield the same frustrating results?? Currently using REI Skip and the results are frustrating at best.

Hey Derrick, it is definitely a struggle. I used to use Batch Skip and they were okay - just really expensive. I have an in-house data guy that pulls lists and skip traces for me. Skip tracing is 12c per record and the list pulling runs me 2.5c per record. Totally worth it compared to some of the bigger companies. @Derrick Gordon there are systems out there that provide large amounts of leads per month for a reasonable cost, perhaps one of those systems would work better. I would also suggest targeted mail campaigns in addition to your calling not in lieu of

@Vaughn Smith it's the volume I'm concerned with. How many dead contacts do I have to pay for to get someone who maybe interested on the phone.  I have the stomach for hard work, maybe I need to refine my approach. I'm a small shop, and spending more to just seems to feed a broken system. If I'm not going to get people I may as well just do mailers, less time and less employees.

@Derrick Gordon I don't know that one lead source is much more accurate than the next, In my experience lead sources across all types of business are inaccurate more times than not. Its a numbers game, the trick is to keep calling, I am willing to bet you that if your team increases the number of calls they make in a day you will increase your success rate.
