Starting out on Long Island

Hello all, I am starting out in the Real Estate Investment business. Like most, I am looking to one day replace my day job's income with RE passive income. I am looking for deals on distressed properties to flip in Long Island area, preferably Valley Stream (I am familiar with the area).
