DIY evicting a tenant

It is easy to DIY? or need a lawyer?

What the steps and forms to use?  never did before. 

This tenant just ignores my calls and my attempts to help him.. Now I have to evict him due to no payment and lease violation. .

It depends on the laws in your jurisdiction. In Ohio, if your property is held in an LLC, you must have a licensed attorney representing the company. If you hold the property in your own name then you may represent yourself. While some of our local courts enforce this rule, others do not but it is my understanding that it is actually a misdemeanor in Ohio to practice law without a license. I believe right now in NY state (and some other states) that you may be prevented from evicting due to moratoriums due to the covid pandemic.
