Port Aransas anyone?

First!

Pretty surprised here seeing that there are 0 posts for Port Aransas. There seem to be some for Corpus Christi but figured to get it started for Port A.

Anyone on BP do investing or anything REI there? Obviously it's long been a VR market for Texas and just wanted to get some investor insight before going there on vacation and drive around with REI lenses on.

Of course any recommendations for brokers/agents, lenders, etc would be appreciated.

Overpriced beach town. If you can find a good deal for an Air B & B it might work.

@CP Chou Probably a little late but...  Hate to tell you the time to buy in Port A was 5 years ago.  The town now has a ton of new development.  I agree with @Lisa Edwards as well.  Maybe watch the trends and pick up a deal on the down side of the cycle.

Anyone have any success or "learning opportunity" stories to share?

Looks to be quite a bit of new construction in the works including higher end condos, houses so supply is also going up.

100% agree with Lisa. Remember where we are in our market cycle and know your numbers. I am looking daily for coastal deals from Galveston / Port Bolivar to Upper Padre and they're few and far between.
