Anyone from NYC Investing in Texas

Hi everyone! I'm James. I currently live in New York City, but plan to relocate to Dallas in 2 to 3 years - which is why I am looking to invest in rental properties (single family homes) in the DFW/North Texas area to start.

I am hoping someone can help confirm what are the common expenses in Dallas SFH rental properties. Want to make sure I have a good understanding of I can avoid under- or overestimating cash flow.

@James L. I have a great CPA that specializes in Real Estate Investing. Even is an expert on Cost Allocation Studies on rentals to help reduce your taxes. He set up my company here in Texas for a nominal fee. Has been great to work with.
