County CAD appraised property value does make sense

Posted

Hey Y'all

I've noticed from checking out county cads across Texas on properties. A house looks good on google maps and pictures. Then I go check out the county cad where the house located to see the property value. It shows the house is valued less than 50k!! After scrolling through the cad info. The values are really inconsistent with other home values. What does that mean???

Thanks

JD

@Juan David Maldonado

Texas is a non-disclosure state so it is difficult to find out sales prices without an Agent with MLS access

My best advice is to  find an Agent in the areas you are interested in and work with them so they can guide you through the process

Zillow is also practically worthless in Texas for the same reasons I listed above. Realtor.com will have all MLS listed properties as some MLS systems allow agents to opt out of Zillow
