Hello! I'm very new and highly interested investing and meeting like minded meeting local people. I just passed my license test and will be talking to brokers over the next week to see where I can begin my transition. Do I need an invitation to be a guest at a REIA meeting? I haven't signed up yet. Please advise. Thank you!

You're right, Robert. The $30 is the annual fee for the REIA and basically goes to cover refreshments at the monthly meetings and the holiday party in December.

Moe and Cathy Mathews are the organizers and are extremely generous with their knowledge. I'm at a "competing" brokerage but the environment Moe & Cathy create is one of the "rising tide lifts all ships" mentality. The meetings are always full of like-minded investors of all experience levels and it's a very comfortable place to make new contacts no matter how much experience you have.

Hope you enjoy the meeting!
