STR Portugal - Any here done this?

Question

Extended Family lives in Portugal and wanting to begin to build a small portfolio out there if its viable.

I dont have real estate contacts out there. Wanting to meet with someone who has experience and connections. Happy to comp you for your time as well.

I have a long list of questions related to getting started, loan types that work for this, tax advantages or disadvantages.

Traveling out there in late winter/early spring to do a bit more research and hoping to meet folks in the industry who I can partner with.

@Richard Anderson Yes, rates are increasing across the board. Portuguese lenders are generally much more conservative and take age of the applicant into greater consideration. I can connect you to a mortgage broker here if you'd like to get more detailed info. Cheers, Joshua

@Joshua Beneventi Just curious how lending rates are in Portugal? Are they increasing like here in the States? I spent a couple of weeks in Portugal this summer and am getting interested in potentially investing in STRs there.
