Title Industry Consolidation: Don't let your BD's lack of 'Transaction Fluency' kill

With the current wave of consolidation in the title and settlement services space (I've been tracking the Action Title Research acquisition closely), there’s a recurring regulatory landmine that’s blowing up deals at the 11th hour: the Broker-Dealer disconnect. \n\nMost M&A practitioners are hanging their licenses with platforms designed for retail wealth management, not high-velocity deal cycles. An analyst report from Financial Services Review recently pointed out that \"Disciplined Responsiveness\" and \"Transaction Fluency\" at market launch and closing are the two biggest variables in deal survival. \n\nIf your BD doesn't have a specialized compliance desk that understands the title insurance regulatory landscape, you're essentially flying blind through the closing process. \n\nCurious what other practitioners in the title/settlement space are doing to ensure their compliance platform doesn't become the bottleneck? Are you sticking with the generalists or moving toward specialized M&A platforms that actually understand 'Transaction Fluency'?
