Cerner Center

What are people's thoughts about investing in real estate around the new Cerner Center which will be completed in 2024. Seems like a good idea to get in now and I would think you would never have a problem renting a place out in the future. I am in for the long game and I was hoping people could give me some good reason why this isn't a good idea.

Many thanks.

Eric

Eric,

There is another new Cerner campus in the Kansas City area and this one is located in western Wyandotte County.  It has an advantage to a real estate investor in that there are a lot of nearby attractions that draw visitors, Sporting Park, NASCAR track and the Legends shopping district.  All of these also create a need for workers and many of these fit the target demographic of the ideal renter.

If you are looking at the greater Kansas City area for investment purposes, this is an area that deserves attention and will not require that you wait 10 years while the area improves.

Happy hunting.
