Door to door knocking marketing strategy?

Question

So I have a friend who has had success with this method so I wanted to go a little deeper with it and see what some of your thoughts are.

I want to do a similar strategy with the script basically introducing myself to the neighborhood and interests in being a part of the community. I’ll subtly divulge that I’m also a real estate investor that buys properties from people interested in selling. Give them a gift card or something along that nature along with my business card. Or I was thinking of giving a resume type paper folded in an envelope with the gift card, my picture on top right corner with a brief description of my intentions with all my contact info enclosed. What do you think?  This idea is on the cutting room floor so I’m open to any and all modifications.  Thank you all for your time! Really appreciate it 🙏🏻🙌🏻🏡

To be honest my goal is to be the personable/likable kid on the block.  Even if they didn’t want to sell they could spread the word, and I can cultivate some genuine relationships in the neighborhood and build a good reputation.   Really dig the NFL schedule idea.  I hope you don’t mind I use that lol.

@Anthony Porembski something I've seen a local realtor do that I wouldn't use because of the internet but an older person might is an NFL schedule with your name and contact info at the top. Let's you be a bit more memorable without breaking the bank.

If you want to give out gift cards you are going to explode your marketing budget in about 3 days.  What are your intentions with this strategy are you trying to buy and hold? flip? or wholesale?  Each will probably have a different strategy for how you want to proceed.

Thanks Aaron and you’re right about the gift cards  but I’d definitely like to give something to be remembered by.  My intentions will be for buy and hold 💯
