How To Obtain Owner Information in Bulk

Question

I am looking for a way to take a list of property addresses (there is no owner name or mailing address with this list) that we have obtained from the city and pull in the property owners name and mailing address for skip tracing use. Right now, we are having to do this one property at a time and takes a ton of time. There are programs that we use like Deal Machine and FreedomSoft that can pull this info in to each property for us, but we have to go into each individual property and click a button to pull the data in. This takes a considerable amount of time when you're talking thousands of property addresses. These programs obviously have access to public data that can do this from within their software, but there isn't a way to do this in bulk. Maybe there is a national database that they pull this from?

I want the ability to have a list of say 1,000+ property addresses, upload to a site that will than pull in the owner name and mailing address automatically. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Thanks for your help.

@Brandon Mix No, I don't use excel. Excel won't open a file the size I mentioned above. You will have to use a database and be a software engineer or computer programmer. But you can use Account Closed method and talk to a title company I guess. I personally don't like dealing with a bunch of spreadsheets and limited information.

@Brandon Mix why don’t you ask a title agent to pull a comprehensive property list that includes property address, owner info, etc and then use excel to compare that list with the list of addresses from the City?  You’d need to make sure the list you pull includes all the addresses on your City list, but even if it includes a majority, you could just do the remaining one-by-one.

Use the MATCH function in excel. I just used it for another property list similar to what you’re trying to accomplish.

@Brandon Mix That is my method. We use a database to store all the data that the county has in the reverse way the county stores it. Then we sort, filter and query to get what we are looking for. Then we use the city information to get the rest of the information from the county in bulk.

It's hard to give you a full answer to your question because if you can imagine cleaning 40+ cities of different types of formats/data/junk from a city so that the database can read the cities data and get the rest of the information out can be difficult.

If you really want to know my thousands of methods of cleaning data from cities, storing it and then getting the rest of the information this would be an extremely long post.

Is the city information correctly formatted? Is the property address in one column like this?

Is there missing information that you would have to filled in. Is the city list in png, txt, pdf or csv format? I've dealt with pictures taken from a cell phone of city addresses and then emailed to me. Sometimes I use high-tech to get the information and sometimes I don't.

I've been able to do this in bulk in couple counties worth of data like this. It can be very technical but my partner and I have done this in a couple counties with 7 million addresses already with 40+ or so cities. I'm willing to point you or anyone in this post in the right direction if you still help.
