Finding renters in San Diego

Ray Alvarez
Posted

Hello,

I'm closing on a townhome in Mission Valley this month. I wanted to see how hard/long it was to find a renter for your investment property? I think my biggest concern, along with everyone's is that it will take a long time to find a renter and the house is just sitting with money coming out of your own pocket? I think mine will be listed at a very fair price for the area, but I think I'm overthinking a lot of things for no reason.

@Ray Alvarez

Congrats on your closing.

Finding tenants is not hard. I'd put more emphasis on your screening process.

Believe it or not, you could make an argument the rental market is more competitive than the purchase market. I just spoke w/ a property manager that had 80 applications on her rental.
