First Investment Savings Strategy

Hello all! I'm seeking a little advice on where I should put the money I'm stockpiling for a down payment on my first residential investment. I have been putting it all into my Fidelity Brokerage account.. just now realizing I will face capital gains tax when I sell in order to buy property. Would I be better off putting it all into my Roth IRA? Is that a no brainer?
