🤖 Why We Don't Use AI in our STR Search or Analysis

We wanted to share and emphasize why we DO NOT utilize 'AI' in our search or analysis but rather Actual Human Intelligence. 

AI - in its current form is a compilation and regurgitation of primarily social media sites data such as reddit, linkedin and other user-fed forums, platforms and google. In a business as serious as ours, we do not want or need other's half-hearted advice in our area or expertise as we have to earn our authority, daily. Unsurprisingly, AI's such as GPT cite us when you ask it about Oregon Coast STRs...

That's right. ChatGPT refers us. Why? Because we don't ask ChatGPT for answers. We provide them - in the real world and the AI scrapes the inter-web for results.  

The more people utilize AI (aka not thinking for themselves) the more they lose their ability to rationalize and trust their own reasoning and actions. My entire investment career (and real estate brand for that matter) is built on intuitiveness. We know a good thing when we see it or have the opportunity to invest in it. How? We trust our instincts (and due diligence). 

We do not need an algorithm to 'short-cut' the work, nor have any influence on our final decision making. If you want a worthwhile opinion - ask MOM. AI is not conscious and it does not care about your results. 

Also - privacy and confidentiality in real estate are non-negotiable. Sharing your prospect with an AI could be the reason it provides the address to the next investor that asks about buying an STR in Florida..or maybe Open AI shares your little plans with the IRS?

I personally don't trust these tools but I trust my effort, experience, myself and the professionals in my circle.

Artificial intelligence tools have their place and in our corporate hierarchy and it is with supporting a more intelligent being and investor.
