Beginning The real estate Journey

I want to go all in on real estate, I have intermediate knowledge on the topic though I am still young, I'm not sure which type of property to begin with, whether to invest in a section 8,long term holds or short term holds ect. What do you recommend I focus on as of now and what type of investment should my first one be. Is there any tips or anything I should be cautious for that I may not know. I am overwhelmed by all of the things this career has to offer and I want deeper insight from an experienced investor.
