Holiday Real Estate Investing Advice

I am just starting in Real Estate and I was wondering does the holidays change any ones goals or marketing. I was debating on doing a direct mail campaign right before the holidays but being a new investor I can not afford to waste a campaign or afford to miss a good time to catch everyone in the "Holiday Spirit" any other opinion will be greatly appreciated.
