in 10 weeks, $$ opportunities!?

I wanted to get a new golden doodle puppy.  I thought with CV might be able to get a "deal".  but no, everyone wants a pet as they are isolating at home.  After everyone goes back to work some people will no longer want a dog which might be good time for a "discounted" dog. i know simple fairly low $$ example.

So if this lasts 10 weeks to mid June.  What would be a good space to make money?  especially with 10 weeks to prep?

Right now high activity/interest spaces:

Real Estate (lower interest rate)

Stock Market (casinos are closed)

Dogs (pounds in NY don't have any left)

not crowded spaces

us $$ very strong maybe buy property in Brazil.

Interested in people's ideas/brainstorms.

Cruises most likely gonna be great deals right when start sailing.  I was supposed to be on a southern caribbean right now :( but maybe this is on everyone's radar with lots of pent up demand.

Well, you may want to consider how long of an investment will this be? Also, what’s your game plan for the long run? I state this, bc there’s proposals of different tax plans. More specifically, capital gains tax is proposed to be hiked to 40%, from its current 20%. Or there’s much talk of brining back 70% tax bracket. So mull on those for some time before you make a move.

Also, keep in mind Phase 3 bailout caused the market to go up. I personally invested in United and Delta at their low. However, unemployment will be announced tomorrow at 08:30 EST right before the market opens, then come early to mid April Q1 earnings reports will be posted - both which the market should take a dip in. Another note, Goldman Sachs announced 24% contraction in the economy for Q2.

Obviously, those statements favor the market. However, come Q2 and on, no one will be shopping for a home since the lagging affects of this recession will have on people’s finances. Talk but no certainty is that the Fed May lower the rate into negative to follow Europe come to their June meeting - not sure if that’ll happen or if they’ll stay firm on 0%?

As for taxes, so if we know the country is favoring increase in taxes, how will you mitigate those? As for now, you have a for sure two solid years of the current tax law.

As for myself, I’m taking hold of these stocks being on sale...then will sell some in a few years when houses become on sale due to foreclosures. Keep in mind, houses don’t immediately go on the market, it’ll have anywhere from 10-36 month lagging affects after a recession.

I m set to go OO using a VA loan on multi.  Not sure I want another house in this area. or any area.

i hope u hit the bottom on your stocks & everything goes back to way it was.  but we'll see.

As I look at my situation.  I wsnt to lower my risk & increase my income.  Which probably means more w-2 income or starting a business.  I have decent amount of access to cash.  I guess my investment time frame is maybe 3 months with extremely low risk.  I've done almost all bank bonuses & credit card bonuses available.

inflation risk is one that could hit me.

Maybe I'll start a lawn care business.  I need some exercise.  About this time last year no one could find anyone to mow.

Altho lots of people will have $1,200 to blow around May 1st.  Maybe a way to take advantage.  I'll become mailman before those checks get mailed. hey Noone on yiur route got their checks! ha
