To permit, or not to permit in Sacramento

Christian Rozo
Posted

What’s going on Sac Town,

I’m looking for your general thoughts on getting permits for rehab projects. What do you get permits for, if any? And when you pull them, are you seeking out owner builder permits typically, even when working with  friends or subcontractors? How close to the book do you have to play it considering how hot the Sacramento market is?
Thank you!

Alterations that include any project that affects the envelope of the building triggers title 24.  That includes windows.
