Part Time Start in Real Estate

Hello, My name is Janelle Martin and I'm a new member located in Orlando, Florida. I've had a great interest in real estate for some time now and am looking for a way to get some experience on a part time basis. I don't have my license yet, but plan to attend classes and hopefully receive it by December 2017. An agent mentioned a Showing Assistant position to me and I found it to be one that I would enjoy. Do I absolutely have to be licensed to do that? Any other suggestions on getting my foot in the door prior to licensing? Thanks in advance for your help!

In the forums, I've also seen Larson and Climer recommended as good real estate schools in Florida.
