Hi All,I am looking for a licensed flooring contractor in Atlanta.  Which type of wood floor is right for me, solid or engineered . Will need flooring Contractor . Looking for a response. Your comments would be greatly appreciated!!Thanks...

Awesome guy, just did my last flip and I absolutely love this company. Prices aren't the rock bottom cheapest but are definitely investor friendly and they manage the install schedules for you. Worth their weight in gold. If you've been told you're high  maintenance though, don't call him. He picks who he works with.

You're right Aaron. The specs make a difference. I was making assumptions, my mistake. Most investors that I know use 1/4" engineered floors on their properties which has quite a price difference than the 3/4" that Aaron mentioned. Before we answer your question correctly Emma, it would help to know what kind of quality you're looking for and what you're willing to spend.

It is not necessarily true that a solid wood floor will cost more. Most decent 3/4" engineered flooring systems will end up costing more than a typical 3/4" grade 2 oak floor finished in place.

Emma, a solid wood floor will cost considerably more than engineered and is much more mess and time consuming.
