Newbie Looking to House-Hack on the NW Side

Hi Everyone!

I'm a long-time Chicagoland resident looking to invest in my first buy-and-hold property in the city!  My plan is to house-hack a duplex/triplex on the NW side.  I've been devouring the BP podcasts and otherwise trying to learn as much as I can.  This site is amazing!

I've been looking at probably too many neighborhoods on the NW side and was wondering if I could get some insight from some more experienced investors as to their favorite neighborhoods up here.  My search so far has been basically everything northwest of Logan.  Belmont Gardens, Old Irving, Avondale, Mayfair along the blue-line corridor and even other neighborhoods further out like Portage Park and Jefferson Park.  What neighborhoods are you investing in up here?

Thanks, everyone.  Excited to be part of this community!
