@Karla Olivares you can also try websites like Thumbtack to find good general contractors or individual sub contractors doing specific tasks like plumbing, electrical, hvac etc..I find those reliable due to reviews and quick response time. But yeah if you get referrals from other investors take those first.

I'm also looking for a reliable contractor is the chicago heights area.  My business partner and I are from out of state looking to invest in multiplex, looking for reliable contractors who can get the job done right with minimal supervision.  We are both active duty military so we need someone who can communicate succinctly and be efficient.
