Hello, what is the concensus on investing in rental properties in Chicago knowing that the city has a shortage of affordable housing?

@Corey Miller great place to invest IMO.
1) nearly 60% of Chicago residents rent housing.
2) when there is a shortage of anything, it creates higher prices (rents). Supply and demand!
3) Chicago is still a top tier city in regards to commerce, population, education.
