Chicago REIA - illicit charge?

Question

Does anyone have a direct contact with Andrew Holmes or anyone at Chicago REIA?

I signed up for one of their programs about a year ago, to have access to off-market leads.  I was told it was a one-time charge with lifetime access.

Last week they charged me again, entirely without my permission - $1,080.  Not that it matters, but I have not been logged into the system for several months and let them know that I did not find the information useful.

I reached out to have this rectified - I received a call from someone at the office who left a message about negotiating, called back, and got the receptionist. She was very nice but didn't offer a path toward getting the charge refunded. They DID close the account, I was notified of that, but no refund.

Anyone know how to resolve this quickly?

@Edward Pluchar - Ms. Brie sent this to me. As Lori said Chicago Deal Vault is owned by Hugo. Please contact chicagodealvalut.com if you have any issue we will be happy to help from our end. We do not own Chicago Deal Vault. This should be very easy to get cleared up. If you need any more help email us we will help you get it cleared up from our end. Hugo is a vendor at ChicagoREIA.org and if we can do something to help we are more than happy to do it. I don't see why you should have any issue getting a refund. Let me know.

@Edward Pluchar I don't know how to contact anyone in that group, but if you paid on a credit card simply dispute the charge and 9 times out of 10 it'll be reversed. I've done that multiple times for various subscriptions that had some asinine cancellation term buried in their 6pt font 20 page terms and conditions, and for companies that made cancelling impossible because of a lack of responsiveness. Just dispute the charge and tell them to screw off when they contact you, its not like you "stole" anything because you aren't using/accessing the service anyhow.

@Edward Pluchar, I believe you're referring to Chicago Deal Vault not Chicago REIA. While Chicago Deal Vault may be a vendor of Chicago REIA.  We (Chicago REIA) have no control or ownership rights to Chicago Deal Vault. I can get you in touch with Hugo he is the owner of Chicago Deal Vault, hopefully he can assist in fixing this matter.

My guess is you agreed to the additional charge in the fine print. Andrew is trying very hard to be a guru. His events are nothing but sales pitches. Selling over priced crap and not giving refunds is the way he is paying for those 15 Chicago Flipping billboards along 90 and 294.
