I'm looking at turning a 300sq foot bonus room into a studio / ADU. For plumbing costs it would make sense to have the bathroom next to the kitchenette. But is that tacky? unsanitary? I have never seen it an wanted feedback.

Thanks!

P.S. Its my first investing and rehab project, so any tip and tricks would be greatly appreciated!

Physically located next to kitchen does not imply that the entrance is via a kitchen. My OO house in poway has a half bath physically located by the kitchen but entering it is maybe 20' from the kitchen.

I suspect if you think about it, you will realize many homes have a bathroom next to the kitchen.  Virtually none of them access the bathroom via the kitchen.

Good luck
