New to flip.. need some checkpoint

Hello

I am planning to start with flipping properties. Honestly I am getting some off markers serials for areas which are an hour and half away from my place. Need suggestion/ advise on the following points: 

1. When we go to look around the property, what all should we look from rehab point of view besides details shared already by the sender? 

2. How do I find a local contractor who can help me with rehab? 

Any other points which you can suggest.
