best way to staging a home after renovation?

I'm getting ready to start a flip project and I'm trying to figure out the best/cheapest way to stage the home when I'm done and it is ready to go back on the market. Give me your opinions on renting furniture vs buying vs not staging at all. Also, should you stage bedrooms or just the main living area and dining area?

Also, I have never rented furniture before. Any ball bark numbers on what it would cost to rent enough furniture to stage a 1700 sf 3 bed 2 bath with a large eat in kitchen?

I would suggest looking at other flips in your area that are within a similar price range.  If most of them are staged then hiring a pro is the way to go.  The problem with the furniture rental places is that you still have to buy all the little things and those add up fast.

Remember your time should be spent finding deals, not being a stager or contractor. So hire it out! Staged homes sell faster and for more money on average than non-staged homes.

Best & cheapest rarely go together. Find a professional, check out their work. I've seen prices around $1000-$1500

Have you looked in to hiring a staging professional? Renting furniture would be second best I guess but its not just furniture. A good stage job is going to include wall hangings, bathroom decorations, plants, etc.
