Knob and Tube

Jared Wimmer
Posted

Had bought a house to do a simple interior face lift, added mini splits, things of that nature. All bathrooms, and kitchens wiring circuits are updated with Romex wire. But lighting and Room receptacles are ran using Knob  and Tube, i am having AFCI breakers installed on all runs with Knob and Tube. I plan on stating in the lease absolutely no space heaters as they draw a ton of amperage. My electrician said the existing knob and tube that is in use for the lights and receptacles is in really good shape and to not worry about it. What does everyone think?
