Need Help with Rat Odor Elimination

James Harris
Posted

This is a call for help to any flippers/rehabbers with experience in rodent infestations. Purchased a rat-infested house in northeast Cape Coral, FL with an overwhelming odor. Have successfully removed/eliminated all rats via bait stations then removed all cabinetry, baseboards, and drywall to 40 inches to expose studs and baseplates for spraying, and remove corpses (30+).  I have treated and retreated base of studs, baseplates, floors(tile), electric boxes, wires, plumbing, etc with vinegar/peroxide solutions and Odoban. The smell still can run one out of the house. I appreciate and welcome any and all advice on ways to deal with this. If you are a contractor in the area with experience in this matter and want to take on the job, let's connect. If you're a flipper/rehabber in this market and are looking for a project, let's connect as I'm not local and may want to pass this along. Cheers!
