Michigan old home bathroom reno (1 full bth to 1.5 bth)

Hi, everyone. I would like to get an option on this.. current house (1200-1300 sqft) has 1 full bath that is connected to a bed room and a kitchen (Jack n jill style). I would like to divide it so the house can have 1 full bath and a half bath. Should 1 full bath to be attached to a bedroom or kitchen as a shared bath? I’m hoping to get opinions/insights

if you have to walk through a bedroom to get to the only bathroom in the house that's going to be odd.  how many bedrooms in total?  You need a full bath that all the bedrooms and guests can easily access and then if you wanted a water closet or powder room attached to a bedroom that would be better in my mind
