Finding The Right Prices For Rehabbing

I'll be starting a first flip very soon, but I seem to be lost at the moment when it comes to finding the right appliances, materials for the interior (i.e., flooring, crown molding, etc.), if needed, which A/C unit to buy, and basically everything else. How do you know which to choose, so that it doesn't bust your bank? I know you wouldn't go for the most expensive one, but how did you go about it?

Or if you didn't do it yourself, did someone else do it for you, like the contractor?

I'm pretty new to this aspect of rehabbing, and was wondering how to find the best prices for rehabbing the home, and which appliances and materials to buy for the best possible profit, but not to make the house look ugly either.

Go look at 30 houses in your area that you would consider "competitors" to your property.  Ensure that the finishes you use are neutral and as least as nice (potentially a tiny bit nicer) than what your competition uses.

If you have any doubts about your design style, hire a professional to help you out...
