Tiny Home Construction in LA area

Hi, can someone put me in the right direction of where I would find people skilled at building a Tiny home or a cabin from start to finish in the Los Angeles Area. I tried Buildzoom but there was no response. My guess is that Buildzoom contractors are only interested in large scale projects. Thanks in advance

Hey Henry,

I floated the idea of building a tiny home in the LA area about a year ago. Does local municipal code allow it?

How tiny are we talking? My guy ( a contractor) and I were just talking about this last week. The code is always worth checking depending on what city in L.A., but I'm pretty sure he was saying (forgive me if I misquote) that (in Los Angeles) if it is under 400 sq/ft that you don't need to get permits. Does that sound right?

He is talking about living space, 400 sf only applies to unoccupied space as a basic rule of thumb. But, government is always changing their mind.
