Response to Kijiji Ad

I attended the webinar by Brandon on his 3 favourite strategies. One of his action steps was to post an Ad on craigslist. Being in Canada caused it to redirect to the Canadian site. After a posting in a forum here I was given the suggestion to post on Kijij instead as the other site gets little to no traffic.

Well, I got a reply to that ad from an individual that says "I have exactly what you're looking for! Please get back to me asap. Thank you so much." Yikess!!! now what do I do. I sent him a reply advising him that I am brand new to REI, mentioned BiggerPockets and the reason for my post. I have included my phone number for them to call. Help, what questions do I need to ask him, etc.

Thanks

Pete

Hi @Pete Ackers - hey don't worry, it's natural to want to tell everyone you're new to real estate - I'm guessing (like most of us in our early days) you're trying to prepare your seller for a situation where you may make a mistake or do something wrong!

Am I right?

Been there, done that! (It gets easier the more you do it!)

You are in the right place to work through almost any eventuality which may crop up - BP has a wealth of members who are incredibly generous with their knowledge and resources (where's the property located?).

My suggestion is just to pick up the phone, make that first call, and you'll be surprised at how it all pans out. Worst case is that you make a total mess of it all, and learn from it for the next call which comes in.

It's all about taking action Pete, and you're over the first hurdle where a lot of newbies fail to even get to the gate! Well done for getting this far, now believe in yourself, believe you can do it, and call him back.

If you want a script on what to say, either checkout the resources tab at the top of the site (Tools/Fileplace) or PM me and I'll send you mine!

Keep us updated, and remember to post back with any questions you have - you can do this!

YOU CAN DO THIS !!!
