When putting together a budget to rehab a SFH, what % of that budget will be the labor cost when having a contractor do the work>

Also, what type of kitchen flooring is used most frequently when rehabbing kitchens and baths, tile or vynal and why?

If you buy all solid gold fixtures encrusted with diamonds, the labor cost will likely be a very small % of the total rehab.  If all your materials are the absolute cheapest you can find and you hire really expensive contractors, then the labor cost will likely be an extremely high % of the total cost.  You'll probably be somewhere in between.

As to your second question, in my house, tile is most common in the baths and hardwoods are most common in the kitchen.  But, your house and all other houses might be different.  Depends on the house.  And the location.  And the neighborhood.  And the buyer preferences.  And the price point.
