Identifying Estimated Repair Costs...

Hi, I wanted to know how you guys generally calculate the estimated repairs of a house that you are looking at, or if you browsing on classifieds and stumble across a house that has potential, how do you calculate the repairs?

Is there like a rough calculation people use, like a certain percentage on the cost of the property? Or maybe a percentage of the average property prices in that area?

Thanks in advance!

@Zane Bradshaw

Get the PDF of J Scott Book estimating repairs it comes with his book on flipping houses. Very good resources, and invaluable for a newbie in the game.

Once you get better at estimating costs, you will be able to estimate things such as:

roof, kitchen, bathroom, flooring, painting rooms, doors, windows, etc.
