Rustoleum Cabinet Transformation Kit or paint cabnets for rental

Hello BP,

I've used General Finish Java stain on my personal home and it turned out wonderful, however the drying time can be 3-4 hours and that's if you put it in the sun to dry. So I'm hoping to find a cheaper way to redo my old cabinets on my rental. Has anyone used the Rustoleum Cabinets product before? How did it hold up over the long run. I have the fake wood laminate cabinets that will need to be covered up with something. I'm thinking something dark because the counter tops are light.

If I have the painters paint the cabinets what type of primer and paint should they be using so I can make sure they last and can hold up to renters?

Thank you for your thoughts on this matter.
