Mold repair cost in townhouse

Hello BP,

Having never dealt with mold in a property I'm not sure how the mold remediation process works or the cost associated with such.  I am looking for some advice.

I have my eye on a property that's in my area that has been on the market for just shy of a year now.  I just went on a walk through of the property and there is clearly mold in the property.  I took as many pictures as I could to show the extent of the mold damage and have them attached.  I'm not sure what the background is on the house but I was hoping to get some advice from the BP community on what you think will be involved with repairing this house and removing the mold.

1. What should I budget for a repair of this level?

2. What steps are involved in getting the mold removed?  Should I have an inspector come out to quote?

3. Would it be worth trying to tackle myself?

4. Is there a way to determine if mold is in the duct work?

5. Can I remove the mold portions, wipe the remaining with bleach and seal with Kilz Sealer; then wait a few days and get the air tested before patching the drywall back up?

Happy Holidays,

Austin
