Under cabinet lighting

Installed cabinets and had wires run for under cabinet lighting... having a lot of trouble finding under cabinet lighting that doesn't require an outlet to plug into. Am I supposed to really run the wires up into the cabinet with an outlet there? Seems crazy. What do people do? Any suggestions?
