Drywall cost for projects

I searched the past posts on this subject and found some information, but curious what everyone is currently paying for drywall work?

I know contractors are busy right now and some/most are charging a higher rate as a result. I have a small/medium job, got two quotes so far. First one is beyond ridiculous at $2500, second one is at $1585 which is still very high. Going to get at least one or two more. I know that since it's not a large job I'll pay much more per board than a large job but these quotes are almost laughable at times.

I'm paying $45-50 per sheet, that's material and labor, hung and finished, ready for paint. Your area might be more, might be less. I've had some crews that charge a much higher per sheet rate for smaller jobs,
