Do you get insurance for the contractors & handyman who works on the property? If so, which insurance company do you go for? Or suggest not to?

Thanks.

A licensed contractor will have their own insurance .

A  " handyman " that is not a legal business with insurance would be an employee of the homeowner , builders risk insurance would not cover him for workmans comp .

Anyone who thinks they are getting a great deal by hiring a " handyman , laborer , or anybody that is working on the side "  You are taking a great risk with your investment , someone gets hurt on your job and it falls back on YOU .  Sure you may save a buck , but when something goes wrong you will pay dearly .
